The National AfterSchool Association and the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents have recently published the latest issue of the Journal of Youth Development. The open-source, peer-reviewed, quarterly online publication is dedicated to advancing youth development practice and research.

The Journal of Youth Development serves applied researchers and evaluations as well as practitioners who work in youth-serving organizations or the intermediaries that support them.

The winter issue:

  • Highlights identity formation and thriving.
  • Provides an overview of youth-adult partnerships.
  • Explores engagement in an initiative to make Scouting more accessible to ethnically and racially diverse boys from lower-resource communities.
  • Features a campus-based mentoring program.
  • Showcases how one program is using digital media with Latino immigrant youth.
  • Reviews the Wallace Foundation's resource, Strategies to Scale Up Social Programs: Pathways, Partnerships and Fidelity.
