Be a Digital Learning Champion in Your Program

Yet, there are wide disparities in digital access between young people from lower-income communities and their higher income peers. This 2-part webinar series prepares trainers, site leads, directors, or others in supervisory positions to support staff in using the Afterschool Tech Toolkit.
Participants will:
- learn about the need for afterschool providers to offer youth access to technology in a meaningful, intentional way.
- explore the many free resources available within the Toolkit that will help staff enhance the activities they already provide, move them closer to their program's vision and shrink the digital divide.
In the first, 2-hour webinar, we will discuss the current gap and how afterschool programs can address it by intentionally and thoughtfully providing access to technology. We will give an introduction to the Toolkit and highlight some of the key messages and resources within. Participants will then have time on their own to explore all the resources in the Toolkit.
In our second, 1-hour webinar, we will discuss reactions to the Toolkit, make plans to present it to staff and discuss the logistics of being an official Toolkit Trainer.
