Over the next year and beyond, the NAA community can expect to see additional STEM resources intended to have a wide and diverse reach, affecting both afterschool leadership and the adults who work directly with children and youth through:
- Increased social media and eNews communications highlighting STEM and connections to core subjects, 21st Century Skills and youth development.
- Communication and other tools to help afterschool leaders and staff communicate and collaborate with schools, families and communities about afterschool STEM learning.
- Professional development opportunities and materials on teaching strategies and skills that promote STEM Learning in afterschool.
- STEM-related sessions at NAA Annual Convention.
Stay tuned for an introduction to our new STEM Specialist, who will support these efforts. And thank you to the Noyce Foundation for continued support of our efforts to increase the capacity of afterschool professionals to deliver high-quality STEM experiences to all children and youth.
