Adobe Youth Voices: Develop Youth Media Making

Monday, 22 September 2014 00:00

Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) is the Adobe Foundation's signature global initiative to increase creativity in education. To date, AYV programs are active in more than fifty-five countries, affecting 190,000 youth worldwide. For the first time, a free AYV online course will bring to the public all the key elements of this successful program. Now, any educator could integrate the core principles of this successful program and become an Adobe Youth Voices Educator.

The course, Adobe Youth Voices: Create Change, is designed to prepare educators to lead youth media making for creative skill development and social change. It's simple—and free—to join the Adobe Education Exchange and enroll in the course. We're reaching out to make sure all educators out there already doing youth media, and those who would like to, know about this opportunity. The course, developed by Education Development Center, begins on September 21, 2014.

Title I schools are eligible to apply for a software donation. Adobe has committed more than $300 million in software and professional development to the White House's ConnectED initiative. As part of this $2 billion+ effort from the private sector, Adobe will deliver creative tools and teacher professional development to schools across the United States—all with the goal of helping youth express their creativity and build their skills for future success. Learn more about Adobe's ConnectED donation program for Title I schools today.

Click here to enroll now, free, in the first-ever public AYV online course—Adobe Youth Voices: Create Change—and learn how best to support the production process and guide young people to Create with Purpose.

U.S. educators can also apply for software donations to use their new skills in the classroom through the Adobe ConnectED Initiative. Click here for more information.

Remember:

  • Any educator around the world is welcome to join the AYV Create Change course.
  • Title I schools can also take advantage of Adobe's ConnectED software donation program. Schools can receive up to thirty copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements and will be able to apply what they learn in the online course right away. The ConnectED donation also includes Adobe EchoSign and Adobe's eLearning tools, Captivate and Presenter. Educators can easily create instructional videos and incorporate a flipped classroom model.
