Webinar Invitation: Every Hour Counts Measurement Framework

What outcomes are most important to track? How can we use data to improve our expanded-learning system? What tools exist to measure social and emotional skills?

Are you grappling with these questions and more? We have some answers for you with this national release of the Every Hour Counts Measurement Framework.

Around the country, interest has been growing in tracking youth outcomes consistently within and across cities. The expanded learning field is witnessing an increase in recognition of social and emotional outcomes as critical "power skills" to drive student success, yet the field lacks guidance on which skills to prioritize and how to assess them to inform practice. On the practice level, practitioners need tools, capacity, and standards to track and measure performance consistently across systems.

Every Hour Counts has been working with expert researchers to develop a framework that identifies priority outcome measures for expanded learning systems to track at the youth, program, and system levels. This webinar is intended to:

  • Present the context and research basis behind the Every Hour Counts Measurement Framework.
  • Describe the outcomes and indicators in the framework, and how the data collected through it could be used to improve program quality.
  • Describe how elements of the framework can inform local data collection efforts with insights from city leaders.

Presenters:

  • Katie Brohawn, Director of Research, TASC
  • Jessica Donner, Executive Director, Every Hour Counts
  • Hillary Salmons, Executive Director, Providence After-School Alliance
  • Barbara Couto Sipe, Executive Director, Middle School Renaissance-2020, Richmond
