The STEM Careers Coalition After-School resources are step-by-step sessions designed to give young people unique STEM challenges, questions to consider, and ways to explore their career path in STEM outside of the classroom.
These sessions will prompt young people to begin considering their own workforce readiness, and then use various tools and strategies to investigate their own passions as they work toward uncovering STEM careers that are best for them.
The Coalition's™ mission is to truly empower educators to teach STEM effectively in the classroom, foster and promote equity and access to quality education, and build the next generation of solution-seekers with an intentional focus on racial and gender equity within the STEM pipeline, specifically focusing on students from the African, Latin and Hispanic Diaspora, as well as female students.
The organization has created over 200 resources designed to connect with students of color and girls through thoughtful imagery and video content that allow students to see people like them in inclusive work environments and leadership roles in STEM, thus changing false perceptions and the narrative related to STEM professionals.
