Media-Smart Youth gives young people a chance to learn by doing. Throughout the lessons, youth discover healthy snack recipes and fun new ways to be physically active. The capstone of the program is the "Big Production," when youth work as a team to develop their own media product to encourage their peers to eat healthy or move more.
The NIH provides everything facilitators need to carry out the program, including free copies of program materials, training webinars, and technical assistance.
