These free STEM activities are great introductions to coding when paired with trusted TI technology and allow youth to use real-world techniques to collect and analyze data, as an on-ramp to robotics and more!

START QUICKLY AND EASILY
The easiest way to engage middle school aged youth in programming and spark their interest in coding and computer science is to start with the 10 Minutes of Code lessons. These activities help them grasp the fundamentals of coding by using TI-Basic to explore variables, conditional statements, loops and other programming concepts.

STEP UP THE DIFFICULTY
Once youth familiarize themselves with the technology and basics of coding, they can move on to additional fun activities, including putting together a pet car alarm, building a digital mood ring and coding a musical composition. TI STEM Projects immerse youth in lessons that motivate and encourage collaborative problem-solving of real-world issues and facilitate explorations in math, science and STEM.
