NAA is proud to welcome Dr. Dale Blyth to the NAA board as one of its newest members! Dr. Blyth is Extension Professor in the College of Education and Human Development, the Howland Endowed Chair in Youth Development Leadership, and a Senior Research Fellow with the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement at the University of Minnesota.
In this article, Blyth provides thoughtful and insightful answers about the some of the hottest topics in out-of-school time, including issues of access and opportunity, improving community engagement, and what he describes as a shift from a "prove it or lose it" approach to accountability to an "improve it or move it" approach to practice.
