The Families and Workers Fund is a collaborative philanthropy working to build a more equitable economy that uplifts all, and they have been busy championing job quality this year.
April 2022 || Job Quality Measurement Initiative was launched as a collaboration between the Families and Workers Fund, Ford Foundation, Irvine Foundation, Lumina Foundation, Omidyar Network, Schmidt Futures, and the U.S. Department of Labor, along with more than 70 independent experts.
October 2022 || Good Jobs Champions Statement was shared by Families and Workers Fund and Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program as an evidence-based, shared definition of job quality as part of the Good Jobs Champions Group.
November 2022 || Reimagining Job Quality Measurement report was released by the Families and Workers Fund to provide bold, actionable recommendations for government, philanthropy, business, and nonprofit sectors to strengthen how we collect, connect and use data to tell a fuller story about the economy and the experiences of the workers who power it.
At NAA, we plan to utilize these resources to strengthen our Thriving Workforce Initiative and further our advocacy efforts for job quality. To stay updated on this critical work, check out the Fall 2022 Issue of AfterSchool Today.
