In 1993, Tameyer Evans was a sixth-grader at Coan Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia.

NAA's goal is to inspire, connect and equip afterschool professionals and leaders. Our Annual Convention is all about the participants and their experience.

The National AfterSchool Association leadership team is excited to announce the list of NAA17 Top 25 Presenters.

"Every year at Convention, people come up to me and ask me how it's going. I always say, 'This is for you, so you tell me,'" said Heidi Ham, Vice President, NAA. "Our goal at NAA is to inspire, connect and equip afterschool professionals—and Convention is all about the participant experience."

This year for NAA's Annual Convention, we're offering something new. "Destination Play Dallas" offers participants an opportunity to explore the wonderful city of Dallas during their stay.

Networking. Lots of people talk about it, but what is it, where does it happen, and how do you do it effectively?

I remember so vividly how I felt this time last year: Overwhelmed. Frustrated. Mad at myself that another year had slipped by and I wasn't where I wanted to be in achieving my leadership goals.

Like so many of you, I first experienced the power of the NAA community through the annual Convention. The crazy part is ... I didn't even attend that particular Convention!
