How to Put Afterschool Research into Practice

At the NAA Convention, on Wednesday, March 23, we'll learn how to put cutting-edge research to practice.

Three leading afterschool researchers, Deborah Vandell, Reed Larson and Deborah Moroney, will share new research and data. These panelists will demonstrate how their research can help you better serve the students in your programs and communities.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

As Founding Dean of the School of Education at the University of California, Irvine, Deborah Vandell studies how afterschool and summer programs effect children's academic, social and behavioral development.

Reed Larson's work at the University of Illinois primarily focuses on afterschool program experiences that lead to social-emotional learning.

Deborah Moroney, a principal researcher at the American Institutes for Research, focuses on social-emotional learning in afterschool settings.
